Croker was a right centre in the NYC and from what I can understand has always played on the right, he just came in on the left side cause Monaghan was right centre.

I think he played well enough and remained on that side even when Monaghan got injured cause Justin Carney had a good run at right centre which has left him on the left ever since.

IMO I would be moving him to the right wing to accomodate Wighton for the time being because Wighton is wasted on the wing and needs to get his hands on the ball more and a Feguson/Croker combo might lead to some better communication and fix our right hand side overlaps.

Well Gidley's true best position is to play hooker off the bench late in each half. He's probably too good overall to marginalise him to that role at club level though. His best position in attack is hooker but I really worry about his defence there sometimes when he's starting and/or playing long minutes. What Benny said works better than anything really; I know Speirz loves it too.

Yeah, it's what I've wanted for some time. I'm not sure how you'd work it with the players the Knights have at the moment though, it'd probably end up with Boyd in the centres in defence and McKinnon or Scott out there in attack, which I wouldn't be too keen on.

If you wanted him playing the bench hooker role at club level, you'd need to figure out a way to bring him on to play at least 60 minutes anyway to get some true value out of him.

Huh? He was terrible in Origin last year. Particularly the third game. Worst player on the field.

It's not Thaiday's fault he's not on the edges, it's Griffin and Gillett.

I remeber a few years back when he was with the Warriors. Filled into fullback postion and tore the Broncos apart scored 3 tries, set up 3 and sloted all his attempts at goal. The next week he moved back and they got belted.

    Obviouse one, Ben Hunt.

IMO, Hoffman should be playing FB but in saying that, he's going great on the wing.

Someone, on some radio/Tv show the other day suggested that Benji should move back to FB. Not sure what I think of that one tbh

Something that could've possibly worked a while ago but it's definitely not going to work at the moment with all his injuries and hampered running game.

I Think Tuimavave could be a decent relief hooker

Hoffman would need to play under a different coach to be an effective fullback. He's not a ball playing fullback or anything, his strength would have to be support play. But Griffin hates support play and offloading, he even hooked Granville for the former (or so I assume).

It was on the roast on Sunday that Benji got advocated for fullback. I think it was mad dog macdougall and he's a halfwit regardless.

The Roast is still going? Is Gus at least still on it?

Valid point, definitely more of your traditional type of FB. Given the way he plays on the wing, interested to see how he goes at centre.

Yeah, that was it. For some reason was thinking it was MG.

Roast has turned to absolute shit this year, I watch it just to laugh at the ridiculous opinions that TK, and Tim Gilbert throw up, the latter is worse but they are the two biggest oxygen thieves in terms of rugby league only beaten by that fucking Cameron cunt who makes me want to break my TV.

Iirc they had Layla Mckinnon on that day as well.

I think he's just a hog lol, never passes.

Benji could definitely have made a career out of fullback. Although his body would never have handled it.

It isn't just his inability to draw-and-pass. He only seems to have the footwork to beat the opposition on the outside, which works well at times but also means he runs out of room too often. I didn't realise he played right-side as a junior but that definitely makes sense now.

You'll see he uses a right foot step more naturally but can't utilise it enough on the left side, I think he would be more effective and potent playing on the right.
