    well maybe over exaggeration but I seem to recall alot of people thought playing matulino and especially Lillyman off the bench as props silly.

    After going some what unnoticed in his early years at Newcastle Kade and Snowden were the two words on everybodies lips come 2009 and 2010 when he was at the Sharkies.

    Every body loved him (and Luke Douglas for that matter) due to his long minutes and good stats. I think it's fair to say nearly everyone saw him as the man to fight back against QLD's forward dominance in origin. Unfortunately once he got there he looked slow and sluggish, injured his neck then signed a big contract for Newcastle and slid down the prop pecking order.

    Key stats:
    1 game for Australia
    2 for NSW (1 for city)
    115 NRL appearances

    Main Offenders:
    Wilson, Sultan Pepper, most NSW fans and basically anyone who isn't MF: There was a time were Snowden was just about the first forward picked in the lead up to origin. He was going to make orphans of Civo's children and drink tooheys from Pricey's skull. Sadly it just never came to be.

    I've pretty much been defending Lillyman as a prop forward since he moved there. Thought he had a good game at the weekend too, in a useless Warriors side. Tackled his arse off. 43 tackles in 63 minutes. That's Gary Larson, Nathan Hindmarsh stuff.

    Hardly. The other prop in this team should be Luke Douglas, who I most definitely supported as potential Origin player (once he fixed up his lateral defence). In retrospect I stand by my position that he was better than Snowden, but I'd also have to say he's gone downhill faster and further than Kade has as well.

    It wasn't just last game either, Lillyman has had a great start to the year. His charges through the first three rounds have been devastating. Even yesterday he was running the ball really strongly when he first came on. Could very well nab a bench spot for Queensland this year.

    Haha fuck I hope so. Lillyman playing again excites me almost as much as the thought of Cameron Smith retiring and being replaced by McCollough.

    And I wouldn't be opposed to it really. Aside from his two terrible errors with his first two touches in Game 1, 2011 he was very solid for us off the bench. He hits as hard as anyone and is dependable. I'd rather him than Dave Taylor on the bench. The cliche about not winning you a game but not losing you one either is very apt.

    And yes he's had a great start to the season in a horrible Warriors outfit. Racking up over 100m and 30 tackles a week from the bench.

    I'm going to nominate Dallas Johnson for this thread. As a two sided coin. He's notoriously over-rated by a handful and this has caused people myself included probably to rate him even lower than he probably should be. Zero impact hit ups and all, he's still a gun middle third defender and there aren't enough of them IMO in fg currently.
