They policed knock ons tonight like they should always be policed. I'm of the opinion that unless you knock it backwards considerably it should be a change over. You lose control, it should be a knock on more off than not IMO.
Whenever QLD looked to have kept NSW inside the 20 after tackle 6, the refs gave away a penalty to help NSW out. Even with so much going against us, we've still managed to win, very impressive.
Agree with this, but there was one where qld raked the ball back when Nsw threw a silly pass and it was a knock on against qld. Maybe 45th ish minute. I know that sounds like I'm 13, but couldn't be fucked correcting it, too many soups.
What's Reed doing in the fence? Is that how he broke his leg? Of course he isn't. Reed plays football.
Also, you can whinge about ref's calls but there's a million that can go either way - the Tate punching thing after getting his eye gouged out by Bird's elbow wouldn't have even been noticed if they didn't start fighting. You can throw up all kinds of contentious decisions from both sides - why wasn't there a penalty/sin binning when Inglis was pulled down close to the line and then the most obvious second effort and slowing of the play the ball was made? etc etc The shephard thing was pretty meh - I can see why people would think that it's a penalty, but I didn't think he was impeded at all and could have made the tackle if he bothered trying instead of standing around with his arms out. Poor decision making by Carney and whoever else was there as well. Pretty sure the first thing you ever learn about football is to play to the whistle.
Farah bitching and dropping the ball in the process when NSW was in great position to level the scores is what Origin is all about.
I've got to admit I really thought NSW would win once Carney slotted that goal from the sideline, was near sure of it.
