Lost by nine wickets today.... Put on 200 odd though so batted well.

Went down to the last few overs, frustrating.

It seems to be almost all Stingrays in here, only me, Chewie and Steeley aren't. Is there some selection criteria that this is included in? :p

I hate flat pitches, expecting a loss in thursday.

    reas 5
    cap 6
    rel 7
    acc 8
    exp 9
    out 10
    spec 11
    excep 12
    wc 13
    elite 14
    leg 15

    all abilities have a number.

add all the numbers of 7 primary abilities together.

Spare ratings = Rating of player minus total visible ratings

    e.g

    45K player

    out bat
    out tech
    dread bowl
    acc field
    cap endo
    dread keep
    cap power

    10 + 10 + 1 + 8 + 6 + 1 + 6

    = 42

    45 - 42 = 3000

the higher the spare ratings, in general the closer to a pop said player is.

    2 x t20 wins. content w/ that.

  5. Steeley J Steele

Presuming the pop is in primaries/tech? Or is it what they are training in?

    Thanks man btw.

is there any way of telling which skill will pop?

  7. Skippos SM Morgan

Nah, no way unless you keep detailed training records.

If you look at my players most have ~1-2.5K spare ratings as I train them to maximise their visible primaries at any time should I choose to sell.

Not really unless you keep a spreadsheet on your player pops and use rob's player predictor.

Edit: Skip got there first :(

surely though it takes a lot longer to get the higher lvls?

  10. Shiv CD Ochocinco

Yeah, outstanding+ I think it is. The player predictor calculates that though.

    There's a slow down.

---> Outstanding all pop times are 'equal' for a player the same age. age slows it obv.

    after outstanding --> spec --> excep --> wc ---> elite --> leg

    there's a slow down.

My data suggests the slowdown is

    1.235*previous year.

but it's likely to be inaccurate.

with the age slowdown, once you hit 23 or so I estimate it taking about 1.6 times longer after spec than for a 21 year old.

  12. Starris ER Starris

You've spent some serious time on this!!!
    Useful info though.

  13. Skippos SM Morgan

My spreadsheets etc. have about 30 pages and would have taken me +200 hours to do. So yeah.

Starris, you seriously need to get anyone with less than reliable fielding onto fielding training asap with the new M/E changes.

  14. Mariner CL Warrington

    What do you rate Starris?

If you didn't know as well, some skills train faster than others. Fielding being the fastest.

  15. Shiv CD Ochocinco

He's pretty decent, ranks around 600 in the world I think...

  16. Skippos SM Morgan

He'll begin to falter. His team doesn't have much development or secondaries.

  17. Starris ER Starris

What do you mean M/E changes?

And yes I've been working on the fielding.
You should have seen it a month ago.
    A lot of dropped catches.

My membership runs out tomorrow which is a bit of a cunt.

Gonna have to buy it again, IMO it adds alot to the game.
