And obviously should be getting the ball ahead of Chewie :p

Might be hard to bowl with gloves on :p tbh, you won't be needed to bowl, just like chewie.

IIRC the wicket-keeper/fielding sim doesn't take past ratings into account. If it does though, Downes really should keep.

Rogers bowls pace as well, so we'll have 4. There is definitely an argument for putting Zohaib in for Edwards, so we have a frontline spinner. I'm unsure though.

  4. Cevno IV Narang

Think Veri would keep ahead of me tbh.

If kazza is bowling pace, then I would deffers be playing Ikram ahead of Edwards. I might be biased though :p I like 1,2,3 pace, 4,5 spin. I think it is tried and tested.

    But it'd end up being..

    1,2,3 pace; 4,5,6,7 spin.

Not with a front line spinner, and a decent pace attack. It might be 4,5/6 spin but all that is is a bit of variety without stealing any overs from 1,2,3 and 4.

6 and 7 would barely bowl though. give the zo a go

  9. Das09 S Das

Yeah, Cevno still better than me.

  10. Mousey AJ Son

Pick the better bowler of the two. Forget that one is a quick and the other a spinner.

Is the team I think should start off. The 2 positions that are really up for debate are the 2nd openers position and the 3rd specialist bowler.

For the 2nd openers spot I think the people in contention are Jones, Downes, Dawson and I would not forget completely about Quilty. Downes and Dawson were the best in ALC alone with very little to choose between the 2. Downes was poor in the provincial 2nd XI stuff though. Quilty struggled in ALC this season but was very good in the provincial 2nd XI stuff. Jones was not miles behind Dawson and Downes in ALC, having an average season but he did manage to do very well for GB 2's.

For the 3rd specialist bowler position I had it between Howe, Ikram and Edwards. They all have very similar averages for the season. The reason Howe gets the nod for me is his Strike Rate of 42.45 and the fact that 1 in 4 of his bowling innings have resulted in a 5WI. I believe he is more of a match winner than the other 2.

Well I'm watching this thread pretty closely now.
