This seems to come up in other threads a lot so I thought I'd create a dedicated thread for it. People like @StephenZA who picked a few young players in hope of being able to retain them next season should be able to get some joy out of this even after the cut off and simming has started.

The CPL Care Cup is a mini preseason comp consisting mostly of knockouts. You'll play two games against the other members of your group, and the top two of each group will progress to a sixteen team knockout. I've openly kind of rigged the groups for fan service rivalries etc.

As several people are now aware, there is an extra draft planned to fill out your Second XIs.

Your Second XI will be run by your "assistant coach" (ie. a bot - like ElvisSpike earlier in the season) who will somewhat randomly over- and under-rate each player in the database, and draft you an extra 12* (TBC) players to fill in spots on your Second XI team.

You won't be able to select these players in your first XI, or draft any yourself, but you will be able to provide recommendations to...
